Description

7 Days to Die for PC began life as an early access funded horror survival game that succeeded in hitting its target and made its way onto the market as a complete and polished product. In the game, the player must survive not only enemies and combat, but simply living: finding food, water, shelter and so on are all vital to the character’s continued existence.

About the Game

The basic premise of the game is that it is set in the future, in an unnamed year, following a nuclear devastation that has, it is hinted, turned much of the population to vicious zombies, leaving only a few survivors trying to eke out a living in the Nevazgane Desert, in the American south west.

Nevazgane means ‘killer of monsters’ in Apache, and it is into the Nevazgane Desert that the player spawns, naked, alone and (presumably) afraid. The survival theme continues with the laws of physics applying to buildings which will fall down if not properly constructed and to tools and weapons which wear out or degrade over time, thus needing constant replenishment.

This all means that the character is constantly on the lookout for plants, tools and resources which can be found in nature – plants, minerals, building rocks – and in the ruined remnants of cities – tools, clothing and other resources, with which they can restore their inventory and keep on advancing through the game.

Multiplayer games are an option and you can choose whether to team up with buddies – or strangers – as a team for co-operative play, making your way through the hostile landscape and fending off the zombie hordes as a team, or you can play against other players in hostile games when you will have to husband your resources by yourself and try and fend off both zombies and other players at once or in tandem, depending on the difficulty level at which you are playing.

In-Game Hazards

Despite the already arduous conditions in which just trying to stay alive can kill you, there are a number of ways to die or be defeated in the game:

  • Starve/ Freeze/ Waste Away: This is the sort of day-to-day attrition that requires near constant vigilance to stave off, with gathering resources, finding food, and renewing weaponry that will keep you engrossed and active in the game.

  • Predators: As you are gathering food and resources, so too are predatory creatures who think that you would be a great addition to their menu and sooner rather than later! Stay vigilant for these creatures and be prepared for a fight to the death: yours or theirs.

  • Zombies: These undead are your greatest hazard, and will force you into planning excursions with care as they will follow you relentlessly, greatly cramping your style and making you use up your resources more rapidly than you might want to. These creatures slowly become stronger and more aggressive, undermining your defences and causing you a great deal of trouble.

  • Seven-Day Zombies: If the usual zombies haven’t been enough to see you off, every seven days (and this is from where the title of the whole game comes) an apocalyptic flood of the bloodthirsty creatures are unleashed upon you, all at the same time, flocking to your location, and all bent on taking you out. This is the greatest test of your defences, and you will have to work very hard before and during the attack to stave them off and survive to the next week.

  • 7 Days to Die for PC is available for purchase on Instant Gaming for a fraction of its retail price. You will receive an official key and be able to play the game in seconds. Play smart. Pay less.

7 Days to Die Review: Crafting the Perfect Apocalypse

    Introduction:

"7 Days to Die" stands as a testament to the potential of survival games, seamlessly blending crafting, exploration, and zombie mayhem. With a unique mix of open-world freedom and relentless hordes, this game offers a thrilling journey through the desolation of the apocalypse.

    Gameplay (9/10):

The gameplay of "7 Days to Die" is a masterclass in survival mechanics. The crafting system is deep and intuitive, allowing players to create everything from makeshift shelters to powerful weapons. The ever-looming threat of zombie hordes keeps the tension high, making every decision crucial for survival. The diverse biomes and dynamic world add layers of complexity, ensuring each playthrough feels fresh and unpredictable.

    Graphics (7/10):

While not pushing the graphical envelope, "7 Days to Die" succeeds in creating a convincing post-apocalyptic world. The visuals are functional, with a focus on conveying the gritty atmosphere of survival. Some rough edges and occasional texture issues are present, but these minor flaws don't significantly detract from the overall immersive experience.

    Sound/Music (8/10):

The sound design contributes significantly to the game's atmosphere. The moans of distant zombies, the creaking of dilapidated structures, and the ominous soundtrack all work together to create a sense of constant danger. The audio cues are well-executed, enhancing the overall tension and making every encounter with the undead a heart-pounding experience.

    Story/Plot (6/10):

"7 Days to Die" doesn't rely heavily on narrative, offering a sandbox experience where players craft their own stories of survival. While the lack of a compelling overarching plot may disappoint some, it allows for unparalleled freedom and creativity in shaping the post-apocalyptic world according to each player's choices.

    Replay Value (9/10):

The game excels in replayability, thanks to its procedurally generated worlds, diverse playstyles, and the ever-present threat of the blood moon hordes. Multiplayer enhances the experience further, fostering collaboration and competition in the harsh survival landscape. Regular updates and a dedicated modding community ensure that "7 Days to Die" remains a dynamic and evolving experience.

    Technical Details (8/10):

"7 Days to Die" demonstrates stability and polish in its technical aspects. While not entirely free from occasional bugs, the development team's commitment to addressing issues and improving the game is evident. The performance is generally smooth, contributing to an enjoyable and immersive gaming experience.

    Conclusion:

"7 Days to Die" stands tall as a standout title in the survival genre, offering a rich and engaging experience for those willing to navigate the dangers of its post-apocalyptic world. With its robust gameplay mechanics, atmospheric sound design, and high replay value, this game earns its place among the top-tier survival experiences. While not without minor imperfections, "7 Days to Die" is a must-play for fans of challenging survival games.

    Rating: 8/10
Probably the best Zombie Survival game right now.

You can Build entire Cities or a Fortified Castle. With a large horde of zombies coming every 7 nights that progressively get harder.

Guns and Gun modding feels good and natural.

The Devs actually listen to the Players.

If you can, put the game on a SSD cause worlds are sorta big and take long to load.
    • Active Community
    • Amazing Looting system
    • Base Building and Levelling System
    • Still in Beta, so there can be big changes that you may not like.
    • Early Game can be a bit Tedious (Not for long Though)
While 7 Days to Die has a lot of potential, it ultimately fell short of my expectations. The game's repetitive gameplay loop and janky mechanics made it difficult for me to stay engaged. While some players may find the game's survival aspects rewarding, I felt that they were overshadowed by the game's technical flaws. If you're looking for a challenging and immersive zombie survival game, 7 Days to Die may be worth checking out. However, be prepared for a steep learning curve and a number of frustrating bugs.
    • zombie game to paly with a friend
    • high replayability
    • unpolished
    • lacks a feeling of realism i like in survival games
One of my favorite games of all time (tip don't do mods if your pc is garbage). I am trying to get my friends to play they refuse to for stupid reasons and I hate there opinions about it.

    • addicting gameplay
    • good tutorial (that needs a tiny bit of work).
    • if you don't focus on looting buildings as much its very boring
This game is great, highly recommend to people although it is hard to get your bareing but once you do u truely begin to enjoy it . I would recommend playing the game single player before hoping into multiplayer so you dont burn yourself out.
    • Good single player experience
    • Hard to play with no prior knowledge
Amazing game, for 5 euros is definitely worth it, but anything above is a no. As state in the pros and cons there is not much to say other than is worth playing but only in multiplayer otherwise I wouldn't recommend for singleplayer.
    • Music and audio effects are very scary, which is good.
    • Zombie graphics are great for 2013 zombie game.
    • Having so many weapons and cars, items as well is astonishing for 10 year old game.
    • Game is made in 2013 but still graphics could've been better, speaking of environment.
    • Some of audio effects are too loud, I could lower it but then I would hear quite zombie, and environment will be louder.
    • Making a house or a building is too much minecraft alike.
i honestly didn't play much of the game, but it was super easy to download, and was super cheap for the price i paid for it. it was fun for the like 3 hours i played, but i know friends who had it and said it was super fun and they had a few days in the game

Franklin from GTA V does not recommend this game.

An open-world smooth-voxel-terrain type zombie survival game with a core loop around looting, basebuilding and defending said base.

The game is extremely simple in every way imaginable - graphics, gameplay, models, progression, multiplayer, so on and so forth. Most problems ingame are dealt with by either whacking it with a stone axe, the very first tool you get in the game, with variable upgrades depending on which materials you can bother to get. Skills are small increases, reminiscent of Skyrim's skills, where you gain a 0.5% proficiency in something for 10 minutes of doing it.
    • Stupid games are best played with friends
    • The reputation of "minecraft with zombies" is pretty hard to shake, but still rings true
    • Game looks like an asset flip, plays about as well
    • Slow gameplay consisting of emptying out containers and punch sounds
    Good and Amazing game!!!

    i love it.

It's a very fun game, I have over 150 hours on it now, it's a good survival game featuring all the main aspects a zombie survival game needs. It has a base-building feature where you can build a defense against the zombies. Very cool!
    • Good Horror Game
    • Survival Features (Thirst & Hunger)
    • Not very optimized for low-end setups
If you love killing zombies, crafting and base building you will love this game! Started out playing on PS4 with my husband and went to PC, definitely recommend PC over console!! It's a fun game to play with others and so many opportunities to build a unique base.
This game is very good for many reasons, it is fun to play with your friends for so many hours, and for this little money on this website i dont see why you would have a reason not to play it. go check it out

Awesome game. Fun and enjoyable to play. I played it with my friends and it's also great. Only downside is graphics. But, hoping for a full realise soon, considering this is still alpha project. Anyway, fast, cheap and trustworthy site.

So cheap. ive never had any issues with buying games here, its always so much cheaper than from steam directly. I showed this to my american friend and he was so shocked at how cheap these games are, and the bonus is that its cheaper for him because they are all priced in AUD
    • Affordable
    • fun with friends
    • Zombies go boom
    • none
It's well worth the price (about 5 bucks when I got it). I've already put in over 20 hours and only had it for a week. And I can see myself and my friends putting a lot more in later, even when the honeymoon phase is over.
    • Pretty much everything
    • Graphics looks kinda dated
    • Still in EA after almost a decade
Load time is so long, destroyed my laptop. I hope I can get a refund and delete this game forever. I have been waiting for a hour and a half and the game was still loading. This game is a joke. Hate it real bad, wasted 6 dollars for this crap.
A must have game for Survival and Open World Friends, the start is a bit hard but on a bit bigger servers or with like 8 Players its definitely super good and fun there are so many aspects in this game.

Highly Recommend to check 7 Days to Die out.

    • So much to do.
    • Huge Map.
    • Graphics could be better.
Nice Survival game. It doesnt have the best graphics anymore, but you may install mods for that. Its a good challange, all 7 days there is a blood moon, where Zombies try to rush your base, very fun game
    • Graphiics
Its odd to say how much I enjoy this game. Its weirder to say i love starting a new game each time cause its a thrill to try out a new seed or random generated world and try to find your supplies for the first horde night. I love playing with a friend, and it is fun alone but co-op definitely helps. I never tried a massive multiplayer server yet but just me and a friend is how I enjoy this experience.
    • Co-op
    • a lot of servers to try
    • Fun early game
    • slow late game
    • cant swim
    • some graphical issues when using low graphics
I could tell you about the flaws of the game, but that's not why I am leaving this review.
I'm leaving this review because I have played the game for years and have 6.000 hours invested and am still having fun. That shoudn't be possible. So despite its flaws, 7 Days to Die scratches an itch no other current title can scratch.
